它的内部有很多类似 R2R DAC的梯形蚀刻电阻群阵列。 可以把这些电阻看作 高档步进电位器内部的高精度晶圆电阻。
只不过传统的步进电阻器是机械结构的触点。而PGA2311这类芯片 内部的触点是高精度COMS器件,在当年这些超小型的COMS器件是先进制程的代表,具有非常低的结电容和导通电阻,是能让该类芯片做到超低失真度的关键技术。
在PGA2311的官方数据表上 有这样一段它工作原理的描述:
7.1 Overview
The PGA2311 is a stereo audio volume control that can be used in a wide array of professional and consumer
audio equipment. The PGA2311 is fabricated in a sub-micron CMOS process.
The heart of the PGA2311 is a resistor network, an analog switch array, and a high-performance operational
amplifier stage. The switches select taps in the resistor network that determine the gain of the amplifier stage.
Switch selections are programmed using a serial control port. The serial port allows connection to a wide variety
of host controllers. The Functional Block Diagram section shows a model diagram of the PGA2311.
