The FM 214 interfaces single-ended/unbalanced outputs of all audio equipment such as CD players and converters, DVD players, preamplifiers, audio mixers, tape machines, digital audio workstations, console monitoring sections etc. and converts the signal into an accurate balanced signal with ultimate CMRR (Common Mode Rejection Ratio). Interfacing between unbalanced and balanced units is optimized which results in more accurate reproduction.

信号平衡比:
信号平衡比(SBR)测量负载条件下输出信号的对称性。为了测量SBR,应用输入信号,并将输出相加,如图5所示。VOUT应该是零,因为每个输出理想地是完全相等和相反的。但是,错误信号是由输出中的任何不平衡引起的。该误差用SBR法定量。DRV134输出级的阻抗通过激光微调紧密匹配,以尽量减少SBR误差。在应用中,SBR还依赖于负载网络的平衡。

输出共模抑制 (OCMR) 定义为由于输出共模电压的变化而导致的差分输出电压的变化。测量 OCMR 时,VIN 接地,并向输出施加共模电压 VCM,如图 4 所示。理想情况下不应出现差模信号 (VOD)。然而,小的模式转换效应会导致误差信号,其大小由 OCMR 量化。
Output common-mode rejection (OCMR) is defined as the change in differential output voltage due to a change in output common-mode voltage. When measuring OCMR,VIN is grounded and a common-mode voltage, VCM, is applied to the output as shown in Figure 4. Ideally no differential mode signal (VOD) should appear. However, a small mode-conversion effect causes an error signal whose magnitude is quantified by OCMR.
