The new ESS ADC looks really cool, especially after THD compensation! Similar to ES9038, ES9822 has the ability to compensate 2nd, 3rd and even 5th harmonics if it necessary and reach THD 0.00003%(some samples shows me .00002%, some .00004%) at -.5dbfs. THD+N or sinad is also impressive -123db unweighted, that's for a few db better than AP SYS2722 analyzer as example. Actually, ES9822 would be DIY friendly if not stupid ESS secret policy and NDA requirement. I put to the same PCB CT7601 USB UAC2 IC, and TPS65130 to get +/-6V from USB-C 5V rail. Add 3pcs OPA1612, resistors, capacitors, XLRs connetors, that's it. 90x50mm 2 layers PCB. Too simple to the ADC which outperforms AP SYS2***.
