It is the business and I have a commercial interest here. I moved my interest out from BOM, to end users. I help OEM's to keep inexpensive BOM, that allows producing very competitive subwooferes with only $3 more than old models(without DSP and app control). OEM factories often has no any engineers to design something like iWoofer, and factories usually not so big. If I'll offer iWoofer to buy for only one such OEM, I'll have zero chance to get decent money. So I decided to offer my design for all OEMs together for free. If my plan is correct, I need only single one OEM to start an avalanche process, when others OEM will start to use my system together. Why not? iWoofer better and cheaper than anything on the market, and don't need to spend money to design. And finally, when iWoofer will be popular, some % of users(I guess about 10%) who will wonder about paid iWoofer Pro app with Room Correction function, will pay $4.99 to the Appstore, where my interest is $3. During last year I had a few proposals from famous brands regarding iWoofer, all of them asked to rename iWoofer for their brand names(for an expensive $1000-2000 subwoofers models), and pay me some fee. However, to get good money I'll have to sell iWoofer for 5-10 brands, it is about 20 different apps for IOS and Android. Need to provide maintenance for all apps at least 5 years, so I need to hire a dedicated office with programmers for that. So I refused such proposals. I hope it is clear enough, and you can see why I go to offer free my design for any OEM or individuals.
